How to Use the Reverse / If-Bet Calculator

Pick Bet Type — Action Reverse for two reciprocal if-bets, Win-Only If-Bet for the single forward chain. Enter the odds for Leg A and Leg B in any format. Set your Per-Leg Stake — each leg uses the same amount.

The calculator returns max profit, total risk, and the per-outcome P/L for all four combinations (both win, only A, only B, both lose).

Worked example: two -110 legs at $50 each in Action Reverse. Max profit (both win) = $181.82. Total risk (both lose) = $100. Miss-cost (only one wins) = -$54.55 on either side. Compare against a straight parlay where the same $100 risk would return $364.50 — you trade upside for capped downside.

How it works

An if-bet ties two bets together — Leg B is placed only if Leg A wins (Win-Only) or both directions trigger reciprocally (Action Reverse). The structure caps downside vs a straight parlay while giving up the multiplier.

Reverse / If-Bet FAQs

A conditional wager: Leg A is placed first. If A wins, Leg B gets placed. Win-Only variant means B only triggers on an A win — the most common US default.

Two reciprocal if-bets (A→B and B→A). Initial outlay is 2× a single if-bet. Higher max profit when both win, with the same downside as two independent bets when both lose.

If-bets cap downside vs parlays. A losing parlay loses everything. An if-bet loses only the original A stake if A loses. Action reverses keep more upside than a single if-bet.

A parlay multiplies odds for a much higher max payout but loses everything on any miss. An action reverse caps downside at 2× stake and trades some upside for that protection.
